The new Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2012 is Cynthia Duque Garza, 19, of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. She was crowned on September 1st in Tuxtla Gutierrez, the capital city of Chiapas. She will represent Mexico in Miss Universe 2013 pageant. The 1st runner-up was Karen Padilla of Distrito Federal, the 2nd runner-up was Jacqueline Ivonne Sauza of Jalisco, and third runner-up was Jessica Amor Mendoza of Aguascalientes. Lucero Montemayor Gracia was selected as Duque's substitute if for any reason Duque is unable to complete her reign. The event was co-hosted by Miss Universe 2010 Ximena Navarrete from Mexico
