Marie-Laure Cornu, representing the department Pays de Savoie, was crowned Miss Prestige National 2014 on January 12 at the Lido in Paris. For the first time since the pageant began in 2011, this year's show was televised via 8 Mont-Blanc network. The winner and a runner-up may be sent respectively to Miss International and Miss Model of the World. The pageant is owned and organized by Geneviève de Fontenay, otherwise known as La Dame au chapeau (The Lady With a Hat). De Fontenay used to run Miss France but she lost the franchise to the giant entertainment and media company, Endemol.
