The new Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2013 is Yaritza Reyes, 18, representing Elias Piña, who was crowned August 4 in the city of Punta Cana. The 1st runner-up was Anyelina Sánchez (Miss Distrito Capital) and the 2nd runner-up was Alma Álvarez (Miss Samaná). Reyes will represent the Dominican Republic in Miss Universe 2013, in Moscow, Russia, on November 9.
